3D luthiery

A technique for designing and manufacturing musical instruments and learning tools through 3D printing, applied by Tever in his CHALGA workshop to create the XIBLA learning flute.

3D luthiery is the technique of designing and manufacturing musical instruments and learning tools through 3D printing. It makes it possible to produce pieces with specific fingerings and tunings —such as that of the Asturian gaita— at a fraction of the cost and time of traditional wood luthiery.

Tever applied it at CHALGA, his musical innovation workshop in Teverga, to create the XIBLA, a learning flute with the Asturian gaita’s fingering.
